About the Role

We're seeking an experienced General Manager to lead our veterinary hospital and GP centre, driving our mission of delivering the highest standards of veterinary care. As a key member of our team, you'll be responsible for:

  • Culture, People, and Team Leadership: Lead the team to ensure clear role responsibilities, a harmonious culture, and staff retention.
  • Leadership and Planning: Foster a positive hospital culture based on site values, vision, and mission.
  • Financial Accountability: Drive revenue increases while managing expenses within the budget.
  • Operations: Oversee daily hospital operations, including workflow, business functions, and staffing levels.
  • Client Service, Business Development, and Marketing: Promote strong referral partner relationships with primary care hospitals, clinics, and surgeries.
  • Regulatory Requirements: Ensure all necessary licenses are maintained and compliance with regulations.

Requirements

  • Minimum five years' experience in a senior business management role.
  • Qualifications in business management or human resource management.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage a large cohort of people, including employee relations, workforce planning, change management, and conflict resolution.
  • Strategic-minded with the ability to envision and articulate clear and effective plans.
  • Strong financial and accounting acumen.
  • Experience in developing and meeting budgets.
  • Experience in roster management.
  • Highly developed verbal and written communication skills.
  • Self-directed with strong time management skills.
