At VetPartners, we are seeking an experienced veterinary nurse to join our team as a Surgical Area Lead Nurse. This is a full-time position at our Mornington hospital, consisting of 5 weekday shifts and a 1 in 4 full weekend rotation.
The successful candidate will have a Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing and a minimum of 3 years' experience as a veterinary nurse. They will be passionate about providing and upholding a high standard of patient and client care, and have a desire to train and develop junior nurses.
The key responsibilities of this role include:
- Training and mentoring junior nurses in line with training plans developed by the Nurse Educator and Clinic Manager
- Monitoring compliance with company standards of care
- Monitoring customer service standards
- Managing day plans and surgery allocations
- Coordinating and allocating staff to various tasks to ensure clinic plans are met
- Identifying operational issues and making recommendations to resolve
