Project Manager Job Description

As a Project Manager at our organization, you will play a vital role in ensuring the successful delivery of operational projects while maintaining the highest standards of quality and compliance. You will oversee the full project lifecycle, from project scoping, planning, and resourcing to execution, monitoring, and completion.

The ideal candidate for this role will have previous project management experience within Government logistics, preferably with an Australian AGSVA Security Clearance of NV1. They will also have proven experience in managing cross-functional teams, complex projects, and operational change initiatives.

Additionally, the candidate should possess qualifications in Logistics and/or Project Management Professional (PMP)/PRINCE2 certification. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with a focus on stakeholder engagement and reporting are essential for this role.

You will be responsible for:

  • Developing and maintaining detailed project plans and budgets, including schedules/timelines, resource allocation, and deliverables as required
  • Proactively identifying risks and issues associated with projects and implementing effective mitigation strategies and/or plans
  • Ensuring all projects comply with relevant customer security, regulatory, and quality standards and company policies
  • Acting as the primary point of contact for all project-related communications between internal teams, customers, and external vendors to ensure alignment of project activities with operational goals
