Job Title: Data Entry Specialist

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized individual to support our philanthropy department with data entry tasks. The successful candidate will be responsible for processing donations, updating donor information, and creating new constituent records.

The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, be able to work independently and as part of a team, and possess intermediate level Microsoft product skills. Previous experience working with databases is required.

Responsibilities:

  • Opening Mail: Sort and process incoming mail for timely gift processing
  • Data Entry: Verify donor contact information, update donor profiles, create new records, and enter donations into batches
  • Donor Stewardship: Create thank you letters/receipts, verify information, and review layout for accuracy
  • Gifts In Kind Coordination: Answer phone calls, direct donations, and coordinate with community partners
  • Filing: Maintain accurate financial records and file batches
  • Customer Service: Provide excellent phone manner, clear voice, and donor-centric attitude

Requirements:

  • Education: Minimum Grade 12 diploma
  • Experience: Minimum one year (1) of experience working with database programs

Competitive hourly rate ($22.94-$26.28), plus 5% in lieu of paid holidays. Comprehensive benefits package, including health and dental coverage, after completion of probationary period. Union membership required.
