Lead Senior Veterinary Nurse Role

We are seeking an accomplished Senior Vet Nurse to contribute to our veterinary team. This dynamic position involves providing exceptional care and a high standard of patient service.



Main Responsibilities:
  • Take charge of a well-functioning nursing team, supporting three experienced vets.
  • Foster a positive team culture through coaching and mentoring.
  • Perform general nursing duties, including pre and post-operative care, pathology, and emergency and critical care.
  • Initiate improvements in clinic operations and efficiency.
  • Collaborate with the veterinary team to maintain high standards of patient care.
  • Provide professional support for client inquiries via email, phone, and in-person.
  • Manage stock inventory to ensure quality patient care.
  • Coordinate maintenance and repairs of equipment with the practice manager.


Ideal Candidate Profile:
  • Possesses a Cert IV qualification in Veterinary Nursing with 2+ years of experience.
  • Demonstrates expertise in coaching and mentoring Vet Nurses.
  • Exhibits strong leadership skills and effective teamwork abilities.
  • Demonstrates calmness and friendliness under pressure.
  • Displays excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Is flexible and adaptable within a team environment.
  • Awareness of RX Works is advantageous but not essential.
