Experienced Veterinary Nurse

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Experienced Veterinary Nurse to join our veterinary clinic. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional care to our patients and their owners.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to work with a variety of animals, from routine check-ups to emergency situations. You will also be responsible for assisting our veterinarians during consultations, surgery, and patient care.

To be successful in this position, you will need to possess excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. You must be able to stay calm under pressure and work effectively as part of a team.

The ideal candidate will have previous experience working in a veterinary clinic, preferably in a nursing or reception role. You will also require the ability to lift heavy equipment and work in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Greeting clients and their pets with warmth and professionalism
  • Managing phones, bookings, and client enquiries
  • Assisting our vets in consults, surgery, and patient care
  • Administering medications and supporting recovery
  • Keeping the clinic clean, tidy, and well-stocked
Requirements:
  • Previous experience in a veterinary clinic (reception, nursing, or both)
  • Excellent communication skills and a friendly attitude
  • Confidence handling animals and speaking with clients
  • The ability to stay calm, focused, and organised—even on busy days
