Job Summary

We are seeking a financially astute and driven accounting professional to oversee financial management for our Ballarat site.

This is a full-time, Monday to Friday position offering flexible working arrangements, with 2 days spent at our Hawthorn office and fortnightly visits to our site in Ballarat.

About the Role:
  • Oversight of all financial aspects, including accounting, forecasting, and reporting.
  • Provide critical insights to stakeholders to inform decision-making.
  • Manage capital requests and forecasts for future projects.
  • Drive process improvements in accounting and reporting systems.
  • Support the finance director in divisional reporting and ad-hoc projects.
  • Ensure statutory compliance, budgeting, and strategic analysis.
  • Lead commercial analysis and integration efforts.
Key Responsibilities:
  • To manage financial accounting processes from start to finish.
  • To analyze complex financial data and provide actionable recommendations.
  • To identify areas for cost savings and implement process improvements.
  • To work closely with the finance team to achieve departmental goals.
Requirements:
  • Tertiary degree in Accounting or related field.
  • Postgraduate qualification in accounting (e.g. CPA or ACA).
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel, with strong analytical skills.
  • At least 7-10 years of experience in financial or management accounting.
  • Strong understanding of accounting software (SAP & QAD preferred).
  • Able to meet deadlines and work under pressure.
  • A proactive approach with initiative to challenge status quo.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
