Site Accountant Job Overview

The role of a Site Accountant is critical in supporting the financial operations of our expanding business. As a key member of the team, you will play a pivotal role in driving financial success through effective accounting, forecasting, and reporting.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee financial accounting, forecasting, and reporting for the Ballarat site.
  • Provide insightful reporting to stakeholders to inform decision-making.
  • Own and manage site-based capital requests, including comprehensive forecasting for capital projects.
  • Drive continuous improvement in accounting systems and procedures, including direct material tracking and cost per unit analysis.
  • Support the Finance Director in ad-hoc divisional reporting and strategic initiatives.
  • Manage statutory reporting, budgeting, and strategic analysis with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Lead commercial analysis and integration efforts.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accountancy, Commerce, or Business Administration.
  • Post-graduate qualification (CPA or ACA) preferred.
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel, with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Minimum 7-10 years of experience in financial or management accounting, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
  • Excellent financial accounting and systems skills (SAP & QAD expertise desired).
  • Strong ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure with unwavering dedication.
  • Proactive approach with the initiative to challenge assumptions and drive innovation.
  • Effective interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to collaborate in a dynamic team environment.
