Primary Learning Support Coordinator Role

This role is responsible for championing student growth, ensuring academic and spiritual potential is unlocked. The Primary Learning Support Coordinator plays a pivotal part in facilitating inclusive learning environments.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervise personnel within the Learning Support faculty/team.
  • Assist with identifying students requiring special educational support and facilitate referral procedures.
  • Deliver targeted interventions, teach students, and support teachers with curriculum differentiation.
  • Oversee adjustments for students with disabilities and collaborate with class teachers.
  • Liaise with relevant stakeholders and coordinate documentation under relevant legislation.
  • Support the development of inclusive learning environments and manage programs for students with disabilities.
Requirements for Success

To excel in this role, you will need:

  • A clear understanding and personal commitment to Catholic education and its mission.
  • Proven experience working with students across various disability categories: physical, cognitive, sensory, social/emotional.
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with school staff, external partners, and stakeholders.
  • Experience delivering professional learning for staff and parents.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills and ability to manage programs effectively.
