Job Description:

This role entails the provision of comprehensive support for the deployment, configuration, and administration of network and security-related products and solutions. These include firewalls, routers, switches, network monitoring tools, and Virtual Private Networks (VPNs). The successful candidate will also have the opportunity to perform in-depth network-based security risk assessments and contribute to the design of new network and security solutions.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide expert-level support with the configuration of a range of equipment, including Cisco, FortiGate, and Meraki devices.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to commission new sites and ensure seamless integration with existing infrastructure.
  • Partner with the Service Desk to analyze and resolve complex technical problems, identifying mitigations to prevent recurrence.
  • Assist with Moves, Adds, and Changes (MACs); Perform ad-hoc network programming or software upgrades as required.
  • Liaise with internal stakeholders and external clients to resolve issues and explore new or alternative offerings.
  • Contribute to the development and maintenance of technical documentation on the design, implementation, and reporting of network and security solutions.
Required Experience:
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in network and security, with a strong focus on technologies such as Firewalls, Routing & Switching.
  • Proven expertise in formulating network design artefacts and collaborating with cross-functional teams to implement solutions.
  • Hands-on experience with cloud infrastructure, including Azure and AWS.
Required Skills:
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Prioritization, time management, and organizational skills, with a proven ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.
  • Exceptional interpersonal communication skills, with a strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality results.
Qualifications:

Certifications in IT, CCNA, CCNP Enterprise, CCNA Security, and/or NSE4 in Fortinet are desirable, or in place of a degree, 5+ years of relevant experience.
