About the Role

Ramsay Health Care is seeking an experienced and skilled Occupational Therapist to join our team at Cairns Private Hospital. As a key member of our Allied Health Team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and support in our Rehabilitation Ward, Acute Wards, and Day Rehab outpatient programs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver cognitive rehabilitation, neurological assessment and treatment, falls prevention education and equipment prescription, oedema management, upper limb therapy, and group therapy to patients.
  • Liaise with third-party insurances and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care.
  • Collaborate with the Allied Health Team to develop and implement individualized treatment plans.
  • Conduct thorough assessments and develop effective treatment plans to achieve optimal patient outcomes.
  • Provide education and support to patients and their families to promote independence and well-being.
Requirements
  • A bachelor or postgraduate degree in Occupational Therapy with current AHPRA registration.
  • Minimum of 3 years' experience in a variety of settings, with acute hospital experience essential.
  • Experience within neuro-rehabilitation field preferred.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work collaboratively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.
