Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Occupational Therapist to join our team as a Community Support Specialist. As an Occupational Therapist with Independent Support Solutions, you will work closely with our interdisciplinary team to provide high-quality, client-centered care to adults, adolescents, and children with disabilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver Occupational Therapy Services: Provide evidence-based therapy plans and deliver interventions to clients in their home or community environment, promoting independence, participation, and overall well-being.
  • Collaborate with the Team: Work closely with our interdisciplinary team, including therapists, support workers, and management, to ensure seamless care coordination and effective service delivery.
  • Document and Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and timely documentation of client progress, therapy plans, and service delivery, in line with our policies and procedures.
  • Quality Improvement: Participate in quality and service improvement activities to continually enhance client care, develop clinical practices, and contribute to the growth and development of our team.
  • Client Engagement: Engage with clients and their families to build rapport, promote therapy engagement, and ensure that care is fun and engaging.

Requirements:

  • Registration: Registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
  • Working with Children Check: Current Working with Children Check
  • National Police Check: Current National Police Check
  • Driver's License: Valid driver's license
  • Reliable Vehicle: Reliable vehicle with comprehensive insurance
  • Knowledge and Skills: Understanding of a range of disabilities, physical and psychosocial; knowledge of the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) and reporting requirements; current First Aid and CPR certification
