Job Overview

This role requires a Chief to lead and manage delivery of intelligence capabilities to inform strategic direction.

The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, as well as a sound understanding of intelligence practices, processes, and framework.

You will work under the strategic direction of senior executives and are responsible for leading teams to deliver outcomes.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Managing specialist areas while supporting senior executives in shaping strategic initiatives;
  • Working closely with Commands and other specialist capabilities to effectively deliver enterprise outcomes;
  • Developing, executing, and evaluating strategy in consultation with stakeholders;
  • Maintaining excellent contemporary knowledge of intelligence legislation, practice, and policy;
  • Recording and maintaining information in accordance with requirements;
  • Having exceptional attention to detail and well-developed written and oral communication;
  • Managing governance and policy in accordance with legislative compliance and enterprise priorities;

The essential requirements for this role include:

  • A Negative Vetting 2 security clearance or ability to obtain one;
  • Proven leadership experience including ability to build and support high-performing teams;
  • Demonstrated high level of integrity and accountability, and ability to work in a high-security environment;
  • Demonstrated ability to lead personnel and develop productive working relationships;
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate with internal and external partners;
