About the Role

This position involves delivering high-level training in navigation and tactical operations to junior Maritime Warfare Officers. The successful candidate will provide specialist navigation and warfare training, utilizing a combination of classroom education, simulation, and occasional sea training periods.

Responsibilities include:

  • Designing and implementing effective training programs
  • Collaborating with subject matter experts to develop and deliver training content
  • Maintaining expertise in navigation and warfare tactics and systems
  • Providing training outside regular hours on a shift roster

About You

You are a highly motivated and resilient professional with a strong passion for Defence/Navy Training. You possess excellent organisational and time management skills, including the ability to show initiative and work effectively under pressure.

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • A minimum of 18 months experience as the Navigating Officer or Principal Warfare Officer on a RAN Frigate or Destroyer, within the last 5 years, or Commonwealth equivalent
  • The ability to achieve and maintain a defence security clearance of NV1 or higher

Benefits and Remuneration

We offer a competitive salary of AU$120,000 - AU$180,000 per annum, depending on experience. In addition, you will receive a range of benefits, including access to employee networks and opportunities for career development.
