High-Level Maritime Warfare Training Specialist

Deliver high-level training in navigation and tactical operations to junior Maritime Warfare Officers at the Royal Australian Navy's School of Navigation Warfare and Bridge Training Faculty. This role involves teaching using a combination of classroom education, simulation, and occasional sea training periods to ensure junior officers are prepared for operations effectively.
- Develop and deliver specialist navigation and warfare training
- Extensive use of simulation-based training
- Support courses through programming, briefings, and examination activities
- Contribute to course review and development processes
- Maintain expertise in navigation and warfare tactics and systems
- Provide training outside regular hours on a shift roster

To be successful in this role, you will have:
- A defence security clearance of NV1 or higher
- Minimum 18 months experience as Navigating Officer or Principal Warfare Officer on a RAN Frigate or Destroyer within the last 5 years, or Commonwealth equivalent
- Excellent organisational and time management skills, including initiative and working under pressure
