Project Development Manager Job Description

The ideal candidate for this role will have a solid understanding of construction methods and be able to lead the project development team. The main responsibilities include developing and implementing plans, conducting feasibility studies, and collaborating with stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement project plans, including site assessments and feasibility studies
  • Collaborate with architects, engineers, consultants, and subcontractors to develop project budgets and schedules
  • Conduct thorough research and analysis to identify potential risks and opportunities for each project
  • Manage the bidding process for subcontractors and suppliers, ensuring competitive pricing and adherence to project requirements
  • Work closely with the development team to evaluate project proposals and make recommendations based on cost, feasibility, and market trends
  • Collaborate with local authorities and regulatory agencies to obtain necessary permits and approvals
  • Provide regular updates to senior management on project progress, budget forecasts, and potential issues

Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Architecture, or related field
  • Proven experience as a Project Development Manager or similar role in commercial construction
  • Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and building codes
  • Excellent project management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
  • Exceptional communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with stakeholders
  • Proficiency in project management software and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Ability to analyze complex data and make informed decisions
  • Detail-oriented with a focus on quality and accuracy
