**Job Title:** Taxation Investigator
We are seeking an experienced and skilled Taxation Investigator to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out audits, investigations, and enforcement duties to monitor and enforce compliance with State Taxation legislation.
The role involves preparing reports and briefs, as well as obtaining evidence and other financial information, to ensure assessments are issued in compliance with State Taxation legislation.
The Investigator will also be required to inform and educate taxpayers in the private sector, of RevenueSA policy and their liabilities, in order to encourage their compliance and to provide a high level of taxpayer service.
To be successful, you will need to have:
- Experience in conducting audits, investigations, or research projects
- A strong understanding of commercial accounting principles, procedures, and taxation laws
- The ability to work independently and under limited direction, as well as the ability to work in a team environment
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
