Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Yardperson to join our client's team at their hardwood sawmill in the Kempsey area.

Job Description
  • Safely operate Front End Loader equipment
  • Unload logs from log trucks and lay them out for maximum recovery
  • Feed logs into the mill for continuous production
  • Transport logs from the log yard to the mill log deck
  • Operate chainsaw to cut logs off
  • Perform regular equipment maintenance checks
About the Role

This is a full-time position requiring the successful candidate to have:

  • Experience operating Front End Loader equipment
  • A current driver's license and reliable transportation
  • Chainsaw experience and ticket (preferred)
  • Familiarity with Australian hardwood timber species (ideal)
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Strong communication abilities
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team
  • Physical fitness for laboring duties
Estimated Salary

$65,000 - $80,000 per annum, depending on experience.
