Job Description


We are seeking experienced Forklift Drivers, Timber Workers, and MR drivers to join our team. Your primary responsibilities will include:



  • Loading and unloading materials from various areas on site.
  • Moving stacked materials around the site.
  • Checking loads are secure.
  • Performing equipment checks and basic maintenance.
  • Following written instructions and keeping records.
  • Assistance in production areas when required.
  • Assist in unloading/loading trucks when required.


In addition, you may be responsible for tasks such as:



  • Rolling logs from trucks and conveyors to log decks, saw carriages, and stacking bays.
  • Placing logs and wood billets onto conveyors and lathes for processing.
  • Sorting and stacking timber during milling.
  • Placing timber for processing by machines and unloading cut timber from tail end of machines.
  • Assisting with setting up and operating plant and ancillary equipment used in the manufacture of sheets and boards.
  • Transporting processed wood products to work areas.
  • Clearing blockages in machines.
  • Assisting with measuring and cutting materials.
  • Packing and loading finished products for transportation.
  • Cleaning work areas, tools, and equipment.


Required Skills and Qualifications


To be successful in this role, you must have:



  • A current Forklift license.
  • A current MR license.
  • At least 2 years of experience in a related field.
  • Timber yard experience preferred but not essential.
  • Physical fitness and reliability.
  • Ability to start early mornings if required.
  • Pass pre-employment drug and alcohol testing.
