Job Description

The Institute for Urban Indigenous Health is seeking a dedicated and passionate Speech Pathologist to provide culturally appropriate adult and paediatric speech pathology services.

About the Role
  • Maintain a diverse caseload across the lifespan, including opportunities to specialise in adult, paediatric or mixed caseloads.
  • Collaborate within an interprofessional team of healthcare professionals to deliver high-quality care.
  • Work in various settings, including primary health care clinics, kindergartens, and community settings.
Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement individualised speech pathology plans addressing unique participant needs.
  • Contribute to continuing innovative health service development.
  • Commit to the philosophy and practice of Aboriginal Community Controlled Health.
Requirements
  • Current C Class Drivers Licence (QLD).
  • Valid Disability Worker Screening Check (QLD Yellow Card).
  • Valid Working with Children Check (QLD Blue Card).
  • Current Criminal History Check - willingness to obtain upon commencement.
  • First Aid & CPR Certificates - willingness to obtain upon commencement.
  • Speech Pathology Australia membership.
  • Relevant degree in Speech Pathology.
