The Daisy Clinic is a multidisciplinary paediatric health service offering psychology, speech pathology, occupational therapy, physiotherapy, and paediatrics. Our care model is collaborative, family-centred, and focused on supporting children to reach their full potential in a warm and inclusive environment.

Our POPS Program (Physio, OT, Psych, Speech) delivers coordinated support across disciplines, enabling integrated care for children with complex developmental needs.

**About the Role**

We are seeking a reliable and enthusiastic Allied Health Assistant (AHA) to work closely with our Speech Pathology team as part of the POPS Program. This role is ideal for a **Speech Pathology student** looking for meaningful clinical experience in a supportive, professional team.

You will assist in the delivery of therapy activities for children aged 4-12, based on individualised programs developed by Speech Pathologists, and collaborate with other allied health professionals to support children across multiple developmental areas.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Deliver therapy activities in line with individual therapy programs designed by Speech Pathologists.
- Facilitate play-based and structured tasks tailored to each child’s goals and developmental level.
- Prepare therapy materials and set up clinical spaces in advance of sessions.
- Observe and document children’s engagement, progress, and behaviours during therapy.
- Provide timely feedback to supervising Speech Pathologists to inform ongoing therapy planning.
- Maintain a safe, supportive, and child-friendly therapy environment.
- Liaise with families and caregivers in a professional and respectful manner, as guided by the clinical team.

**Essential Criteria**
- **Availability every Monday and Thursday from 4:00 PM - 8:00 PM is essential (non-negotiable).**:

- Additional hours outside these times are required; 12 - 20 hours per week is ideal.
- Currently studying Speech Pathology.
- Experience working with children, particularly those with developmental delays, communication challenges, or neurodivergent profiles (e.g., autism, ADHD).
- Strong interpersonal skills, initiative, and ability to work well in a team setting.
- Current Working With Children Check (WWCC) and Police Check (or willingness to obtain).
- Warm, professional, and child-centred approach to service delivery.

**Desirable Attributes**
- Familiarity with AAC systems (e.g., visuals, PODD, PECS) and key word sign.
- Driver’s Licence.
- Previous experience in a clinical, school, or early childhood education setting.
- Basic understanding of multidisciplinary approaches to therapy and development.
