Program Coordinator – Student Services Role Overview

The Department of Education is seeking a highly effective and empowered Program Coordinator to join our leadership team as a key leader within Alkimos College. This role presents an exciting opportunity to work collaboratively with the Program Coordinator – Senior School, Student Services personnel and executive and leadership teams to develop, manage and deliver relevant programs and initiatives to support the school's direction.

This position requires an inspirational and experienced educational leader committed to making a positive difference in their school community. The successful applicant will ideally display the capacity to support student achievement through a positive learning framework and approach, while also demonstrating high level of interpersonal and public relations skills that enable effective working relationships to achieve planned outcomes.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • • Monitoring and reporting on lower school students in relation to attendance, behaviour, social / emotional wellbeing, educational engagement and students at educational risk.
  • • Providing support to teachers in student wellbeing and working in a collaborative team through strategies such as targeted intervention and student case management.
  • • Building positive, professional working relationships with students, staff, parents, and stakeholders.
  • • Overseeing relevant student services activities, interventions, and workflow.
  • • Data analysis and tracking skills to support key initiatives and work streams.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Registration with the Teachers Registration Board of Western Australia (TRBWA)
  • Valid Working With Children Check
  • Current Screening Clearance Number issued by the Department of Education's Screening Unit
