- Provide support to the Project Manager/ Project Leader to ensure client expectations are managed.
- Day to day management of all authorities and utilities interactions across the various phases of the project.
- Develop with the PL and PEL an overall design procurement strategy to ensure consultants selected truly understand the key project drivers and can respond accordingly.
- Engage cost planners as required to develop an overall cost plan for the project then work with them to develop the design in accordance with the project budget.
- Support the PM/ PL in developing an overall conversion program including project issues that relate to revenue, the client, authorities, design, procurement and delivery of the project.
- Identify and understand key risks and opportunities in all aspects of the project to optimise Laing O'Rourke position.
- Prepare the overall project client reporting documentation in a PCG format and attend PCG meetings.
- Ensure all works are completed in accordance with the client quality requirements and Australian standards / codes.
- Degree in Engineering is preferred with a focus on (Civil/Mechanical/Electrical) or Construction Management or equivalent. Experience in delivering projects with multi-stakeholder interfaces.
- Minimum of 10 years' experience in the Rail Signalling sector.
- Knowledge of Railway Engineering standards & specifications.
- Knowledge of modern signalling technology.
- Knowledge of Signalling Principles.
- Exposure to managing teams for delivery phase of construction.
- Understanding of design, problem-solving capabilities, commercial acumen.
- Ability to communicate on all levels – Directors to operatives and understand the importance of relationships.
