Job Overview
The reliability specialist is responsible for ensuring the optimal performance and reliability of our manufacturing assets. This role involves partnering with OEM equipment providers to install, commission, and maintain our equipment.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct root cause analysis on critical plant failures, implementing action items and ensuring their sustainability.
- Support the implementation of capital projects, focusing on enhancing maintenance performance and related assets.
- Demonstrate genuine safety-first leadership, setting an example for others to follow.
- Ensure the reliability and maintainability of equipment meet or exceed target levels.
- Plan and manage maintenance work effectively, minimizing disruption and downtime.
- Investigate safety incidents, environmental incidents, and breakdowns, reviewing parts holdings and stock records to ensure accuracy.
- Assess critical assets regularly, implementing actions to mitigate business risk and plan shutdowns.
Requirements
- 5-10 years of experience in a similar role.
- Experience in plastics manufacturing and/or recycling is highly desirable.
- Prior experience in latest technology and automation within a manufacturing environment.
- Installation and commissioning experience for similar-sized projects.
- Excellent communication skills, from shop floor to leadership team.
- Proven problem-solving skills for emergency maintenance and repair.
- Trade qualified fitter and turner or similar qualifications.
