Job Opportunity: Network & System Engineer

Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Network & System Engineer to join our team. This is an exceptional opportunity for someone who wants to take on new challenges and make a real impact in the field of computer networking.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement efficient network solutions that meet our business needs.
  • Install, configure and support various network devices and equipment.
  • Procure and manage the installation of network equipment and subcontractors.
  • Configure firewalls, routing and switching to maximize network efficiency and security.
  • Monitor and troubleshoot network performance issues.
  • Arrange scheduled upgrades and maintenance tasks.
  • Investigate and resolve network faults and document procedures.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest network technologies and firmware releases.
  • Report network status and faults to key stakeholders.
  • Monitor network traffic and capacity to ensure optimal performance.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Strong understanding of computer networking concepts, protocols and architectures.
  • Experience with network design, implementation and management.
  • Proficiency in configuring and troubleshooting network devices and equipment.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong analytical and reasoning skills with an ability to visualize processes and outcomes.
  • Proficiency in software development life cycle (SDLC) methodologies.
  • Knowledge of algorithms and data structures.
  • Ability to write well-designed, testable code with comments.
  • Ability to produce specifications and determine operational feasibility.
  • Ability to integrate software components into a fully functional system.
  • Ability to develop software verification plans and quality assurance procedures.
  • Ability to document and maintain software functionality.
  • Ability to troubleshoot, debug and upgrade existing systems.
  • Ability to deploy programs and evaluate user feedback.
