Speech Therapy Professional

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our team of dedicated healthcare professionals. As an SLP, you will play a critical role in helping residents communicate effectively and regain confidence in their daily lives.

About the Role:

This is an exceptional opportunity for a motivated and empathetic individual to make a meaningful difference in the lives of our residents. You will be responsible for evaluating and treating speech, language, cognition, and swallowing disorders, developing personalized treatment plans, and collaborating with other healthcare teams to achieve optimal outcomes.

Responsibilities:
  • Evaluate and treat speech and language disorders in individuals with various conditions, including stroke, traumatic brain injury, and neurodegenerative diseases
  • Develop and implement effective treatment plans that cater to the unique needs and goals of each resident
  • Collaborate with nurses, therapists, and dietary staff to ensure seamless care and support
  • Coach residents, families, and caregivers on communication strategies and techniques to enhance their abilities
  • Monitor progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary to ensure optimal results
Requirements:
  • Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution
  • Valid SLP license in the state of Ohio or ability to obtain one
  • Certified Clinical Competence (CCC) preferred, but strong CFY candidates are also encouraged to apply
  • Exceptional communication skills and a collaborative spirit
  • Experience in skilled nursing or long-term care settings is highly valued
