Employment Consultant

Our mission is to provide expert support and empower individuals with mental health conditions to achieve their employment goals. As an Employment Consultant, you will be working closely with participants to develop tailored support plans that cater to their unique needs and aspirations.

  • You will manage a caseload of participants with mental health disabilities and provide person-centred support that empowers them to achieve their employment objectives.
  • Deliver services using the Individual Placement & Support (IPS) Model — a evidence-based approach to employment for people with mental illness.

In this role, you will be responsible for supporting participants through every step of their journey, from vocational profiling and job search to resume preparation, interview practice, placement, post-placement support and ongoing support.

  • Develop strong relationships with participants, their families, carers, and support networks to ensure comprehensive understanding of their needs and preferences.
  • Work collaboratively with multi-disciplinary professionals to deliver high-quality services and achieve positive outcomes.
  • Contribute to the development of innovative solutions and strategies to enhance service delivery and participant outcomes.
What You Will Need
  • A relevant Certificate III or higher qualification in Employment Services, Community Services, Mental Health, or related field.
  • Significant experience in employment services, mental health support, or disability services.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to build trust with participants, their families, carers, and support networks.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team to achieve shared goals and objectives.
