Quality Improvement Specialist
\The position involves contributing to organisational level improvements within the service, bringing a regional lens to the work. Key responsibilities include partnering with service delivery to provide quality support to programs and teams, while also overseeing day-to-day quality support and projects for broader quality improvements across the organisation.
\Key initiatives will include developing tools for improved outcomes for participants and young people, enhancing current forms and practices relating to medication and risk management, and coordinating a quality training project across teams within Child Safety and other programs.
\This role is focused on supporting a range of quality improvement objectives within the organisation, including responding to participant feedback and complaints, and providing guidance to frontline teams in the management of incidents. The role is available either full time or part time (minimum 0.8 FTE) flexible for the right applicant.
\Requirements:

- Certificate IV/Diploma in Mental Health, AOD or related field OR Tertiary qualification in a social science;\
- 2+ year relevant work experience in mental health sector OR demonstrated experience in quality improvement initiatives within the human services sector;\
- National Police Records Check;\
- NDIS Workers Screening Check;\
- Working with Children Check (Employee);\
- NDIS Worker Orientation Module Certificate - free online course;\
- LCS2 Outcome - this can be supplied by the employer;\
- Current valid Driver's Licence and the ability to undertake some intra-state and inter-state travel as required.\
- Good communication and interpersonal skills are essential.\
- The ability to work independently and as part of a team.\
- Ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines.\
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.\
- Highly organised with excellent time management skills.\
- Able to maintain confidentiality when required.\

- Experience working in a youth-focused service an advantage but not necessary.\
- First aid qualification highly regarded.\
- Have knowledge of child safety principles and procedures.\
- Basic understanding of data analysis software.\
- Has empathy and cultural awareness and respect towards Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.\
- Basic understanding of budgeting and financial processes.\
- Work in partnership with families, colleagues and external agencies.\
- Enhance the capacity of workers and managers to deliver evidence-based practices.\
- Responsibility for ensuring effective data collection systems are implemented.\
- Manage complex relationships with clients, stakeholders and staff at various levels.\
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.\
- Actively participates in the promotion of Workforce Development initiatives.\
