About the Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Plant Mechanic to join our Utility & Construction Equipment Assembly workshop at Komatsu Australia Pty Ltd. As a Leading Hand, you will play a key role in mentoring and coaching our apprentices, while also being responsible for the assembly and maintenance of our equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Assemble and maintain utility and construction equipment to the highest standards.
  2. Supervise and mentor apprentices in the workshop, providing guidance and support to ensure their development and success.
  3. Perform performance testing of machinery to ensure it meets our quality standards.
Requirements
  1. Trade qualified plant mechanic or equivalent.
  2. Previous experience assembling earthmoving equipment.
  3. Auto Electrical experience, qualifications, and diagnostic skills will be highly regarded.
  4. Safety focused mindset is paramount.
  5. Good understanding of computer systems and Microsoft Office.
  6. Ability to work unsupervised.
  7. A proven high level of customer service.
