About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Technician to join our Technical Services team in Civil Works. As a key member of our workshop team, you will be responsible for performing routine maintenance, repairs, and preventative maintenance for Council vehicles, plant, and equipment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Performing tasks with high attention to detail and a degree of autonomy
  • Developing rapport with stakeholders and exhibiting a positive attitude
  • Recording of information relating to work carried out
  • Liaising with vehicle, plant, and equipment users to diagnose issues and educate on their proper use
  • Assisting other workshop staff in the delivery of services

Requirements

  • Promote safe work practices in the workshop
  • Trades Certificate in Automotive Mechanical
  • Knowledge of computerised maintenance programs
  • Possession of Current C and HR Class Drivers Licences
  • Ability to provide trades guidance and assistance as part of a work team
  • Possession of or ability to obtain a current National Police Certificate & pass a pre-employment medical
