About the Role

Ventia's Defence Base Services (DBS) team is seeking a qualified and experienced HVAC Mechanical Supervisor to join their close-knit facilities maintenance team. This is a full-time permanent position where you will oversee all HVAC and Mechanical work on Garden Island in Rockingham.

As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for supervising in-house HVAC staff and subcontractors for all General Estate Works (GEW) under the Defence Contract. You will also be responsible for portfolio supervision, which may include multiple service lines such as HVAC, BMS, Mechanical, Fire, Cranes, Compressed Air, Registered Plant, and Pools.

About You

  • Formal trade background with experience in facilities maintenance on a range of building-related works and repairs.
  • Demonstrated experience in leading and motivating in-house trades, including contractors and subcontractors.
  • Competence in report writing, procurement principles, and quotation preparation.
  • Flexible to meet the demands of after-hours work and the ability to participate in an on-call roster.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills and the ability to establish effective working relationships with a variety of people at different levels both internally and externally.
  • Competent in the use of MS Office suite, knowledge of MMS SAP system is advantageous.

Requirements

  • Eligible to obtain and maintain a Defence Security Clearance up to a level of negative vetting (baseline).
  • Australian Citizen.
  • Valid Australian driver's licence.
