The Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Claims Team Lead to join our team in the Kawana office. As a Claims Team Lead, you will be responsible for leading a team of claims consultants and ensuring that they meet agreed objectives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and monitor the team to execute a high standard of service and process adherence
  • Monitor and support the management of a portfolio of claims, including workload prioritization and allocation, claim review and authorization, technical product, process, and system support, and performance and progress reporting
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of strategic and operational activities that will continually improve Claims performance
  • Provide detailed input into ongoing process and system development
  • Provide input into staffing requirements and recruitment

Requirements

  • Well-developed and demonstrated understanding of the legislative, regulatory, and compliance obligations to operate in the FSR environment
  • Previous Team Leader or equivalent experience
  • Extensive Home Claims experience
  • Proven ability in leading and motivating people
  • Ability to effectively analyze and resolve problems
  • A core focus on customer outcomes and relations
  • Ability to innovate and be creative in developing process and procedures
  • Ability to effectively manage conflict and negotiate where required
