Job Description
The Salvation Army is a Christian movement and one of Australia's largest charities. We provide support, safety, community, and opportunity to people in need. As a People & Culture Advisor, you will play a crucial role in supporting our organization. This is a permanent, full-time position based in either Blackburn or Redfern.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide First-Line HR Support: Respond to queries from managers, employees, and volunteers, offering practical advice on policies, procedures, and systems.
  • Support Workday Processes: Maintain data accuracy, manage end-to-end HR transactions in Workday, and act as a subject matter expert for users.
  • Coach and Build Capability: Deliver training and guidance to build confidence in Workday and HR procedures among internal stakeholders.
  • Contribute to System Enhancements: Participate in testing and feedback for system updates, and ensure process documentation remains clear and current.

About You
We are looking for a proactive and resourceful HR professional who has a passion for delivering excellent service and supporting the smooth operation of HR processes.

Key Capabilities
  • A degree or qualification in Human Resources or a related field.
  • Knowledge of Australian employment legislation, awards and HR policy frameworks.
  • Demonstrated experience in HR support role.
  • Sound knowledge of Workday or other HRIS systems.
