Job Overview
About the Role:The Quality Improvement Specialist will contribute to the processes that guide Orygen Specialist Program (OSP) and Custodial Forensic Youth Mental Health Service (FYMHS) towards continuous improvement in all aspects of service planning, management, and delivery.
This specialist role will support the leadership of Custodial FYMHS to coordinate the quality and accreditation processes under the National Safety and Quality Health Service Standards and other regulatory and reporting requirements.
- Develop and implement a program of quality and performance improvement activities across OSP and Custodial FYMHS.
- Monitor the effectiveness and relevance of the program.
- Drive the direction of quality improvement programs.
- Create and manage policies and procedures.
- Foster a culture of quality and safety with an emphasis on consumer and carer-focused services and outcomes.
The role will also work closely with the Clinical Quality and Safety Manager to achieve organisational quality and safety objectives across all clinical services.
Skill Requirements:
The successful applicant will possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills, excellent communication and project management skills, and experience working within a healthcare environment.
