Occupational Therapist Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled Level 3 Occupational Therapist to join our team and contribute to the delivery of high-quality occupational therapy services. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will play a vital role in providing expert care to patients with lymphoedema, utilizing your extensive clinical expertise and specialized knowledge.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement comprehensive treatment plans that cater to the diverse needs of patients, incorporating cutting-edge occupational therapy techniques and evidence-based practices.
  • Work collaboratively with healthcare professionals, patients, and families to enhance service delivery and provide education and support, promoting a culture of person-centered, compassionate care.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of innovative programs and initiatives that promote early intervention, prevention, and management of chronic conditions, such as lymphoedema.
  • Engage in ongoing professional development, staying up-to-date with the latest research, best practices, and industry developments to maintain and enhance your skills and expertise.
  • Provide educational sessions, workshops, and training programs for patients, families, and healthcare professionals, promoting awareness and understanding of occupational therapy principles and practices.

Requirements:

  • Qualifications in accordance with Schedule C of the NSW Health Service Health Professionals (State) Award and Current Registration with AHPRA.
  • Extensive postgraduate clinical experience in lymphoedema service provision from an occupational therapy perspective, demonstrating a strong commitment to excellence and patient-centered care.
  • Excellent negotiation, decision-making, and advocacy skills, including the ability to interact constructively and collaboratively with all organisational levels.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a multi-disciplinary team, applying advanced reasoning skills and independent professional judgment when dealing with situations of a novel, complex, or critical nature.
