Job Title: National Standards Director
DescriptionThe National Standards Director will lead the development and maintenance of national standards, effectively manage and oversee accreditation schemes, and coordinate a multi-year safety and quality program for national standards.
Key Responsibilities- Lead the development and maintenance of national standards aligned with strategic plans.
- Effectively manage and oversee the accreditation schemes.
- Coordinate a multi-year safety and quality program for national standards.
- Implement agreed work plans for standards development, accreditation schemes, and related projects as directed.
- Undertake project management activities, including project plans, budgets, monitoring, and reporting, and risk management.
- Lead and manage project staff to deliver National Standards program outcomes and other related activities.
- Collaborate with teams to integrate expertise in standards development, especially for NSQHS Standards.
- Promote priorities through communications, public relations, and appropriate fora.
- Provide advice and represent on relevant inter-government committees, working groups, and national projects.
To be successful in this role, you will require:
- An extensive and comprehensive understanding of Australia's healthcare system.
- Experience with safety and quality standards.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with sound judgment and innovative approach.
- Excellent interpersonal and relationship-building skills.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Experience in program or project management.
