Job Title: National Standards Director

Description

The National Standards Director will lead the development and maintenance of national standards, effectively manage and oversee accreditation schemes, and coordinate a multi-year safety and quality program for national standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the development and maintenance of national standards aligned with strategic plans.
  • Effectively manage and oversee the accreditation schemes.
  • Coordinate a multi-year safety and quality program for national standards.
  • Implement agreed work plans for standards development, accreditation schemes, and related projects as directed.
  • Undertake project management activities, including project plans, budgets, monitoring, and reporting, and risk management.
  • Lead and manage project staff to deliver National Standards program outcomes and other related activities.
  • Collaborate with teams to integrate expertise in standards development, especially for NSQHS Standards.
  • Promote priorities through communications, public relations, and appropriate fora.
  • Provide advice and represent on relevant inter-government committees, working groups, and national projects.
Requirements

  • Experience with safety and quality standards.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with sound judgment and innovative approach.
  • Excellent interpersonal and relationship-building skills.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Experience in program or project management.
