TAFE Queensland seeks a highly skilled and experienced professional to fill the role of Assistant Director, Educator Excellence & Innovation. As part of our dedicated team, you will be responsible for supporting the strategic and operational priorities of the Education and Training portfolio.

The ideal candidate will possess extensive knowledge of legislative frameworks applicable to the VET sector and a proven ability to provide pragmatic, innovative, and strategic advice. Additionally, they will have demonstrated ability to support and enhance workforce capability through supportive leadership that rewards excellence and encourages creativity and innovation.

We are looking for someone who can work autonomously, manage multiple competing priorities, and influence key stakeholders to achieve successful outcomes. The successful candidate will also contribute to positive cultural change and promote a shared commitment to client satisfaction and educational excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the planning, coordination, and implementation of key educational initiatives and projects.
  • Work collaboratively with academic and operational teams to explore and support the development and enhancement of educational delivery models.
  • Actively participate in the review and improvement of academic and administrative systems.
  • Provide expert advice and insights to support continuous improvement in teaching and learning practices.
  • Represent the Education and Training portfolio in internal and external forums, networks, and stakeholder engagements.
  • Engage and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure training programs are aligned with current and future workforce demands.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Extensive knowledge of legislative frameworks applicable to the VET sector.
  • Demonstrated ability to support and enhance workforce capability through supportive leadership.
  • High level organisational skills, including autonomy, prioritisation, and stakeholder influence.
