Job Description

We are seeking a proactive and customer-focused supervisor to join our team in a full-time capacity. This role involves managing the daily operations of our depots, ensuring efficiency, safety, and excellence in service delivery while maintaining strong customer relationships.

The successful candidate will report directly to the Operations Manager and be responsible for leading and driving a culture of safety within operations. They will ensure compliance with customer contracts and KPIs, identify and address customer needs, and maintain high service standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct Safe Act Observations and facilitate Toolbox meetings.
  • Lead and drive a culture of safety within operations.
  • Ensure compliance with customer contracts and KPIs.
  • Identify and address customer needs, maintaining high service standards.
  • Verify and approve timesheets accurately and promptly.
  • Complete weekly and monthly depot reporting within deadlines.
  • Supervise and motivate the workforce, recognising achievements and addressing performance issues.
  • Provide regular training and coaching in operational matters.
  • Handle employee concerns efficiently and effectively.
Required Skills and Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • Previous experience in a supervisory role within industrial services or a related industry.
  • Experience managing a unionised workforce.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Understanding of financial levers in a Profit & Loss statement to drive revenue and control costs.
  • Ability to meet deadlines, prioritise workloads, and plan effectively.
  • Attention to detail and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
