Vehicle Technician Role

Job Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Light Vehicle Auto Technician to fill a challenging position in our workshop. This role involves working in a fast-paced environment, carrying out repairs on various vehicles.

Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Identify and rectify faults in a wide range of vehicles.
  • Conduct mechanical and electrical diagnostics to diagnose issues efficiently.
  • Log and record daily activities and work progress for accountability purposes.
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to apprentices as needed.
  • Communicate effectively with customers regarding the status of their vehicles and any required repairs.

Key Requirements and Qualifications:

  • Hold a Trade Certificate in Motor Vehicle Mechanical Repair or equivalent qualification.
  • Minimum of 3 years' experience as a qualified motor vehicle technician or mechanic.
  • Strong knowledge of vehicle systems, including engine, transmission, brakes, suspension, electrical, and electronic systems.
  • Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with customers and colleagues.
