A Supportive Care Worker for Community Service

">Job Description:

We are seeking a supportive care worker to join our team and provide in-home assistance to clients in the Eurobodalla area. As a member of our team, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals with daily living tasks and enabling them to maintain their independence.

The ideal candidate will have experience working in community services and possess a genuine interest in empowering individual independence. A Certificate 3 in Community Services or Individual Support is highly desirable.

">Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide domestic assistance including cleaning, laundry, transportation, shopping and meal preparation
  • Supervise or assist with daily hygiene tasks such as showering or bathing
  • Offer mobility support
  • Maintain and monitor client plans, including documentation and progress note keeping
  • Promote professional communication and liaison with clients, families and relevant professionals
  • Maintain confidentiality and dignity for clients and engage in respectful interactions

In this role, employees will complete shifts with clients between 7:00 am to 7:00 pm, Monday to Friday. The position does not involve overnight stays, evening shifts or weekends.

">Requirements:
  • Experience in community services and individual support
  • Certificate 3 in Community Services or Individual Support (highly desirable)
  • Working with Children's Check
  • National Police Check
  • Current First Aid and CPR Certificate
  • Driver's License and Own Car
  • Comprehensive Car Insurance
