About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Network Engineer to join our Technology Infrastructure team at GMHBA.

This is an ongoing role based in our head office with hybrid working options.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support, design, deliver, configure, maintain, and continually improve the IT infrastructure, including physical and virtual servers, cloud and hyperconverged platforms, network switching, firewalls, and load balancers.
  • Design, implement, and maintain our advanced network architecture, including Microsoft Azure cloud networking.
  • Ensure seamless connectivity and optimal performance for our cloud services and datacentre operations.
Requirements
  • Tertiary qualification in a relevant area, such as Business Information Systems, Computer Science, or substantial relevant work experience combined with industry and/or vendor certifications.
  • At least 5+ years' experience in managing, configuring, enhancing, and maintaining complex networking environments or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training.
  • At least 3+ years building, developing, and optimising Cloud Infrastructure & Wintel network technologies across various IaaS & PaaS based services.
  • Strong expertise in Networking Infrastructure technologies, including SD-WAN, Firewalls, Switching, IPAM, Application Load Balancers, and Microsoft Azure Networking.
  • High competency with network architecture, configuration, and deployment.
  • Strong understanding of networking protocols and principles, including VLAN, segmentation, ACLs, routing, VPN, BGP, and routing protocols.
Desirable Qualifications
  • Other network administration qualifications, such as Aruba, Cisco, or Palo Alto.
  • Experience in Network automation & Software Defined Networking (SDN) is highly advantageous.
