Job Overview

This role involves developing cost plans and project capital estimates through the design phase. You'll prepare cost reports and estimate packages, regularly presenting to stakeholders. Your commercial expertise will be essential in providing input to design optioneering and value engineering exercises.

Key Responsibilities

  • Highly proficient in Pre-Contract & Post Contract Quantity Surveying, including Cost Estimates, Commercial Management, Variation & Claims Management, and Monitoring Project Budgets.
  • Develop cost plans and project capital estimates through the design phase, delivering updated cost plans at appropriate design milestones.
  • Prepare cost reports and estimate packages, and regularly present to stakeholders.
  • Provide commercial input to design optioneering and input into value engineering exercises.
  • Demonstrate excellent presentation, verbal, written, and communication skills.

Requirements

  • A minimum of 5 years' experience in quantity surveying or a related field.
  • Defence clearance or Australian Citizenship is required.
  • A degree in Quantity Surveying or a related field is necessary.
  • Experience with CostX is preferred.
  • An AIQS or RICS membership is ideal but not essential.

The estimated salary for this role is between $80,000 and $120,000 per annum, depending on location and experience. Please note that this figure is an estimate and may vary based on individual circumstances.
