We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Data Platform Lead Engineer to join our team at QBE. As a key member of our data engineering team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and deploying data platforms that support our business goals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide technical leadership in the design, development, and deployment of data platforms
  • Work with stakeholders to deliver monitoring and improve the operational experience of the data platform
  • Contribute to exciting pipeline automation initiatives
  • Update existing systems and integrate improvements to work on the applications already in operation
  • Liaise closely with tech stakeholders, value stream leads, and other key contacts

About You

To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate:

  • Strong working knowledge of data analytics, DevOps tools, and Microsoft Azure Cloud infrastructure
  • Experience in automated deployments and continuous integration
  • Knowledge of a combination of the following tools: SQL, Data Bricks, Git Hub/Bit Bucket, Azure CICD, Azure Dev Ops
  • A progressive attitude to delivering software and infrastructure, appreciating the importance of automating all aspects of the stack in an Agile manner
  • Exposure to operating within environments of large-scale change and transformation
