About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Financial Operations Specialist to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated and detail-oriented individual to play a key role in maintaining the accuracy and integrity of our financial records.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the Accounts Payable function, including oversight of the AP inbox and vendor communications. They will also reconcile vendor payments and monthly intercompany recharge to the ERP system, prepare and reconcile monthly Trade Services Agreement invoices and settlements, and liaise with the overseas finance team and externals to resolve payment queries and transfers.

Additionally, the Financial Operations Specialist will assist with the monthly Australian/New Zealand payroll journal entries, including reconciliations of wages, superannuation, payroll tax, annual leave, and long service leave. They will execute month-end tasks, including preparation of leave journals, lease adjustments, suspense allocations, and prepayments.

Maintaining and updating the Fixed Asset Register, including posting depreciation, is another key responsibility of this role. The successful candidate will also perform monthly reconciliation of Airwallex and bank statements, prepare and maintain Australian entities balance sheet reconciliations, ensuring all balances are fully substantiated and supported by appropriate documentation.

Assisting with corporate tax obligations, including monthly PAYG reconciliation and lodgment, is also a critical aspect of this role. The Financial Operations Specialist will work closely with the systems team to ensure that any reconciliations related to accounting systems are accurate and up-to-date.

Key Skills and Qualifications:

  • Minimum 3 years' experience in accounting
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
  • Preferred OneStream and D365 system knowledge or exposure
  • Flexible and Adaptable to changing priorities and business environment
  • Problem solving and attention to detail
  • Able to communicate effectively & professionally both verbally and in writing
  • Good multitasking skills and able to prioritize and meet deadlines
