We are seeking an experienced and dynamic underwriting professional to join our team as a Financial Lines Underwriter. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and has a passion for delivering exceptional customer service.
About the Role
The successful candidate will work closely with our experienced underwriters to support all tasks related to underwriting and administration. Key responsibilities include:
- Assisting underwriters with renewal portfolio management, including pre-renewal notices and conducting research.
- Serving as a first point of contact for the financial lines team and providing exceptional customer service at all times.
- Maintaining policy documents across the full suite of products, including endorsements, cancellations, closings, and general policy processing.
- Preparing monthly reports and assisting with credit control when required.
- Developing relationships with internal stakeholders within AXA XL group, claims, actuary, and middle office.
- Maintenance of online quoting portal and responding to new enquiries through the online quoting portal in line with business guidelines and appetite.
- Ensuring adherence to underwriting guidelines and service standards.
- Promoting a collaborative work culture with unwavering commitment to teamwork and team success.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Recent experience in the insurance sector, preferably in underwriting or a related field.
- An adaptable and flexible approach to working in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to deliver exceptional customer service.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- A high level of proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
- Working rights for Australia.
