This role presents an excellent opportunity for a registered midwife to work within a well-established and supportive team environment, collaborating with a Nursing Unit Manager who prioritizes her team's success.
The ideal candidate will possess current AHPRA registration as a Registered Midwife with at least 2 years post-registration experience, along with experience working within a private hospital setting (although not essential).
Demonstrated empathy and strong emotional intelligence are crucial for effective communication and building strong relationships with patients, families, and colleagues.
Key Responsibilities- Monitor the health and wellbeing of both mother and baby in the Post Natal and Well Baby Nursery, ideally working permanent night shifts.
- Provide personalized care tailored to each patient's needs, focusing on education around postpartum care.
- Support patients and their families through two weeks of orientation and ongoing support from the NUM and Team Leaders.
- Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Midwife.
- At least 2 years post-registration experience.
- Experience working within a private hospital setting (preferred but not essential).
- Demonstrated elevated level of empathy and strong emotional intelligence.
- Exceptional communication skills, including verbal and written communication, with experience in professionally communicating with patients, families, and colleagues.
