Welcome to Waverley Christian College, a renowned institution that prioritizes the holistic development of its students. We are seeking an exceptional Mental Health and Wellbeing Leader to join our team and contribute to the delivery of our comprehensive student wellbeing program.

This is a part-time position (0.4 FTE) that will commence in Term 1, 2025. The successful candidate will work collaboratively with key leaders across the college to design and embed a Biblically-shaped wellbeing program for the classroom.

The Mental Health and Wellbeing Leader will utilize their knowledge of teaching and the student experience to enhance teachers' mental health literacy, facilitate referrals, and drive new initiatives. They will also participate in training and professional development opportunities to further develop their skills.

Essential Requirements
  • A qualified teacher registered with the Victorian Institute of Teaching (VIT).
  • Demonstrated ability to inform and influence the work of others involved in engagement, mental health, wellbeing, or learning.
  • Experience supporting students' mental health, wellbeing, or learning by developing connections with external services.
  • High-level communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Current First Aid qualifications and Anaphylaxis Certificate or willingness to obtain prior to commencement.
  • A commitment to the values and ethos of Christian education.
