About the Role

  • The successful candidate will be responsible for leading improvement projects across key focus areas, including Occupational Violence, Psychosocial Risk, and Operational Safety.
  • Key responsibilities include collaborating with department managers to align safety strategies with operational needs, conducting risk assessments, and implementing mitigation strategies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement HSW improvement initiatives.
  • Provide expert guidance on mental health safety in the workplace.
  • Develop and maintain HSW procedures, SOPs, and compliance documentation.
  • Investigate safety incidents using ICAM methodology and drive corrective actions.
  • Deliver HSW training programs and identify learning gaps.
  • Engage with internal and external stakeholders to drive safety excellence.
  • Ensure compliance with state and federal HSW legislation.

About You

  • Certificate IV or higher in Occupational Health and Safety, or equivalent experience.
  • Proven experience as a safety professional in a relevant or high-risk environment.
  • Strong understanding of workplace mental health and psychosocial risks.
  • Demonstrated ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels.
  • Experience in risk assessment, compliance, and incident investigation.
  • Strong project management skills and ability to drive change.
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organisational skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and HSW-related software.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a dynamic environment.
  • A passion for promoting a culture of safety and well-being.
