Workplace Wellbeing Specialist

This role is a unique opportunity to shape and implement initiatives that enhance workplace safety, employee well-being, and compliance.
About the Role
- The successful candidate will be responsible for leading improvement projects across key focus areas, including Occupational Violence, Psychosocial Risk, and Operational Safety.
- Key responsibilities include collaborating with department managers to align safety strategies with operational needs, conducting risk assessments, and implementing mitigation strategies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and implement HSW improvement initiatives.
- Provide expert guidance on mental health safety in the workplace.
- Develop and maintain HSW procedures, SOPs, and compliance documentation.
- Investigate safety incidents using ICAM methodology and drive corrective actions.
- Deliver HSW training programs and identify learning gaps.
- Engage with internal and external stakeholders to drive safety excellence.
- Ensure compliance with state and federal HSW legislation.
About You
- Certificate IV or higher in Occupational Health and Safety, or equivalent experience.
- Proven experience as a safety professional in a relevant or high-risk environment.
- Strong understanding of workplace mental health and psychosocial risks.
- Demonstrated ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels.
- Experience in risk assessment, compliance, and incident investigation.
- Strong project management skills and ability to drive change.
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organisational skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and HSW-related software.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a dynamic environment.
