Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Yard Operations Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient movement of vehicles within the yard area. This includes positioning trailers and vehicles in a timely manner as requested by the control room.

You will also be responsible for managing the yard area, including entry and exit points, vehicle wash, fuel islands, and walkways. Your goal will be to ensure that both vehicles and pedestrians can move freely and safely within the yard area.

Key Responsibilities
  • Safely position trailers and vehicles in a timely manner as requested by the control room.
  • Manage the yard area, including entry and exit points, vehicle wash, fuel islands, and walkways.
  • Ensure that both vehicles and pedestrians can move freely and safely within the yard area.
  • Challenge and report any non-compliance with site rules.
  • Drive company tug vehicles in a safe and courteous fashion in accordance with site rules.
  • Report any vehicle accidents or mechanical defects to the control room or supervisor.
  • Carry out daily vehicle checks following procedure.
  • Ensure the safe and efficient movement of vehicles between parking bays and loading bays.
Requirements
  • MC license required.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Physical ability to perform tasks in a fast-paced environment.
