The Service Stream team is seeking a highly skilled Automation and Telemetry Infrastructure Manager to oversee the project scheduling, implementation, maintenance, and optimization of control systems used in automation and process control.
This role integrates into a multi-disciplined team responsible for providing technical support services for automation and telemetry infrastructure. The Automation and Telemetry Infrastructure Manager will manage external technicians in maintaining, troubleshooting, and modifying control systems, leveraging problem-solving skills to triage and prioritize works as required.
This Manager will be responsible for managing small internal teams and subcontractor teams, ensuring automation and telemetry infrastructure assets are appropriately maintained and operable, and working with stakeholders to manage safety, customer, and environmental risks effectively.
Nature of position: Permanent, Full Time
Location: Brisbane
Reporting Line: Operations Manager
- Lead teams to ensure automation and telemetry infrastructure assets are maintained and operable.
- Work with stakeholders to manage safety, customer, and environmental risks effectively.
- Manage specialist subcontractors, suppliers, and consultants to ensure works meet client-set response and rectification times.
- Oversee quality control processes and work with team QA functions to ensure high-quality outcomes.
- Develop and review project plans and schedules to ensure resource allocation and timings are met.
About You
- Comprehensive knowledge and experience with control systems and related disciplines.
- Ability to quickly pick-up differing software and hardware programming and configurations.
- Qualification in Engineering (Electrical Engineering Degree or Electrical Trade Certificate-3 or Certificate-4 highly desired).
- Experience in project management or contractor management highly desired.
- Valid QLD drivers license.
- Highly developed problem-solving, lateral thinking, communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.
